Overview
Haabersti is a diverse district on Tallinn's western edge, extending from the Rocca al Mare coastline to the Väike-Õismäe residential areas. The area offers a good balance between nature and urban life, being known for its parks, beach area, and family-friendly environment.
History & Character
The Haabersti area was mainly agricultural until the mid-20th century. Massive housing construction began in the 1970s when Väike-Õismäe and Mustjõe residential areas were built. Rocca al Mare got its Italian-style name meaning 'rock by the sea'.
