Publish, promote and renew a listing
Choose how long your listing is shown, pay to publish it, add stars or a homepage feature, and extend or reactivate it before or after it expires.
A private listing is published for the time you pay for. Current prices and durations are on the pricing page. Company listings are billed to the company instead - see company billing. Paying for an auction is different: a flat fee, with no duration to choose, because the auction's own start and end set the time.
Publish a new listing
- In the last step of the listing form, choose Advertisement Duration.
- Optionally add Visibility Boost or Homepage Feature. A promo code goes under Have a promo code?
- Press Pay. The listing is saved and the payment page opens.
- Choose a payment method, accept the sales policy and press Proceed to Payment.
The listing goes live as soon as the payment is confirmed, and its time starts then. If you cancel the payment, the listing is kept unpublished and you can pay later.
If a promo code covers the whole amount, there is no payment page. The last step shows Publish instead - accept the sales policy and press it. The listing is published at once and a confirmation titled "Your listing is published!" appears next to a preview of the listing, with View listing, Manage listing and My listings. From a draft in My listings the same button is Publish listing.
Pay later
A listing saved with Save as Draft, or whose payment was cancelled, waits unpublished in My listings. Press Pay Now to Publish on it, or Pay Now to Publish on its management page, to choose the duration and pay.
Stars and homepage feature
On a paid listing's management page, Add Stars raises the listing higher in search results for the days you choose, and Feature on Homepage shows it on the home page. While a star boost or homepage feature is active, you can buy the next one only after it ends. A promotion cannot last longer than the listing itself - if the listing expires soon, extend it first.
Extend or reactivate
We email you 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before a paid listing expires, and send one more notice on the day it expires. An expired listing disappears from search and its page. An auction listing cannot be extended or reactivated.
- Open the listing's management page and find Listing Duration.
- Press Extend Listing while it is active, or Reactivate Listing after it has expired.
- Choose the duration and pay.
Extending adds the days to the current end date. Reactivating starts a new period from today. Days on market will be reset when reactivating an expired listing.
Republish as new
Republish as New moves an active paid listing to the top of the newest listings without a new payment. Content, photos and promotions stay as they are. After republishing you have to wait 14 days before the next time, and you can republish at most 3 times within 30 days. An auction listing cannot be republished.
