Switch between your personal and company profile
A broker's account has a personal profile and a company profile. The active one decides whose listings you see and who pays for new ones.
When you belong to a company, you can act for the company or for yourself. You choose the profile in the account menu, and the site follows that choice until you switch again.
What changes with the profile
- New listings - with the company profile, a listing you create belongs to the company and its days are billed on the company's monthly invoice. With the personal profile, it is your own listing and you pay for it yourself at checkout.
- Menu - the company profile shows My Company and Company Listings. The personal profile shows My Listings.
- Contact details - your profile has separate contact settings for company listings. See contact details on your listings.
Switch profile
- Open the account menu in the top bar.
- Choose Switch profile.
- Pick Personal Account, or your company under Your companies.
The page reloads with the chosen profile. On your profile page and on your listings page, a line at the top also shows the active profile and has a link to switch, for example Switch to personal profile.
Which profile is active
With the company profile active, the account menu in the top bar shows the company's name instead of yours. With the personal profile active, your profile page and listings page say You are acting as your personal profile.
If you open the company page while your personal profile is active, you see You're on your personal profile and a button to switch to the company.
Existing listings stay where they are
Switching does not move listings. A listing created under the company stays a company listing, and a personal listing stays yours. Company listings are managed in company listings.
