The Romantic Coastal Road passes through the area! The "Seikle Vabaks" (Adventure Freely) ice skating event on the sea ice is organized here.

The nearby Manija island adds an island vibe to the location; it can be reached from Munalaiu by regularly operating water transport. A ferry connection to Kihnu also departs from Munalaiu harbor, making the area an attractive stop and starting point for both locals and vacationers.

Kihnu island can be reached by the ferry Kihnu Virve. The city of Pärnu is a comfortable drive away.

Various waterbirds, coastal meadow birds, and, with good luck, the majestic white-tailed eagle can be spotted around the coast of Munalaiu, Manija, and Liu.
