Historia ja luonne
Harju County has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The ancient county of Harjumaa was one of Estonia's eight prehistoric counties. In the 13th century, the region was conquered by Danish invaders who established Tallinn Castle. Over centuries, Harjumaa has been a focal point for trade and maritime activity.
