# Notifications and emails

Which emails we send you, where to switch each kind off, and what the notifications in the account menu mean.

We send email to the address in your profile. Most emails are about something you set up yourself, and each kind is switched off where you set it up.

## Emails you can switch off

- **Marketing emails.** In your profile, the [Notifications & marketing](https://leiakv.ee/en/profile#profile-notifications) card has the **Marketing emails** switch. Every marketing email also has an unsubscribe link that works without signing in.
- **New listings from an e-Agent.** Stop or delete the e-Agent - see [saved searches and e-Agents](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/saved-searches#stop-e-agent).
- **Price changes of favourites.** Switch off the alerts per listing - see [price change emails](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/favourites-compare#price-alerts).
- **On-site messages.** If you switch off **Receive on-site messages** in your profile, buyers contact you by email instead of the site inbox - see [what buyers see](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/profile-contact-details#visibility).

## Emails that always come

- Email confirmation and password reset links.
- The email-change confirmation to your new address, and a notice with a restore link to your old one - see [changing your email](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/profile-contact-details#email).
- A new message in your inbox, if you have not read it on the site within about 15 minutes - see [messages and email replies](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/messages-inbox#reply).
- Payment confirmations and invoices - see [payments and invoices](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/payments-invoices-refunds).
- Listing expiry reminders: 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before a paid listing expires, plus a notice on the day it expires - see [renew a listing](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/publish-pay-renew#renew).
- Invitations to join a company.
- For an open house you registered for: the confirmation, a reminder the day before and any change or cancellation - see [open house emails](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/open-house#emails).

Turning off marketing emails does not stop these - they are about your own account, listings and messages.

## Notifications in the account menu

**Notifications** in the account menu opens a list of things that need your attention, for example **Listing needs activation**, **Add your name** or **Verify your email**. A number on the bell shows how many there are. Press a notification's button to go where it points, or the cross next to it to hide it.

If mail to your address keeps bouncing, the list starts with **Your email address isn't working**. It can't be dismissed until the address works - change it in your [profile](https://leiakv.ee/en/profile?edit=email#profile-email) or confirm that it works.

## If an email does not arrive

If a red notice **Your email address isn't working** shows at the top of the site, mail can't reach your address. Fix the address, or press **My address works – send a test email** in your profile.

1. Check the spam or junk folder, and search for leiakv.
2. Check that the email address in your [profile](https://leiakv.ee/en/profile?edit=email#profile-email) is correct and confirmed.
