# Email, password and sign-in methods

Reset a forgotten password, change or add a password, link Google sign-in and confirm your email address.

Your sign-in settings are in the **Account Information** and **Linked Accounts** cards of your [profile](https://leiakv.ee/en/profile?edit=password#profile-password). To change the email address itself, see [change your email address](https://leiakv.ee/en/help/profile-contact-details#email).

## Forgot your password

1. On the [sign-in page](https://leiakv.ee/en/login) press **Forgot password?**, or open [the reset page](https://leiakv.ee/en/forgot-password) directly.
2. Enter your email address and press **Send Reset Link**.
3. Open the link in the email and choose a new password. Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive.

For privacy, the page looks the same whether or not an account exists for that address. The link works once and expires after a while - if it has expired, ask for a new one.

## Change your password

1. In your profile, press [Change Password](https://leiakv.ee/en/profile?edit=password#profile-password).
2. Enter your current password and press **Continue**.
3. Enter the new password twice and press **Save**. Must be at least 8 characters

If you signed up with Google, the button says **Set Password** and asks only for the new password. After that you can sign in with your email and password too.

## Google and password sign-in

**Linked Accounts** shows whether **Google** and **Email & Password** are linked. Press **Link** next to a method that is not linked yet to add it: Google asks you to choose your Google account, a password asks for the new password twice. **Unlink** removes a method, but not the last one - you always keep at least one way to sign in.

## Confirm your email

Next to your email at the top of the profile you see **Verified** or **Not Verified**. If it is not confirmed, press **Send verification** and open the link we email you. Google accounts are confirmed automatically.

## Sign out

Press **Sign Out** at the top of your profile, or **Log Out** in the account menu. Signing out removes your session from this browser only.
